SPORTS

GOLF: Rolling terrain, abundant rainfall and moderate summer temperatures combine to make Vermont's golfcourses challenging, lush and enjoyable.

FISHING: More than 800 lakes and ponds and 7,000 miles of streams lie within the Green Mountains. Lake Champlain has a surface area of 435 squre miles, where you can fish for land-locked Salmon, Lake Trout, Steel Head Rainbows, Large and Small Mouth Bass and Northern Pike to name but a few. HIKING: Two major hiking trails run along the spine of the Green Mountains and marked foot trails and nature trails can be found at many State and Federal parks and forest areas.

SKIING: State-of-the-art snowmaking and trail grooming provide consistent skiing conditions for alpine skiing and snowboarding at Sugarbush. For the purist, there's Mad River Glen (no snowboarding..) and the challenging slopes of Stowe are 40 minutes away.
